South Dakota

HI, Carter here!!!!!  This time I am blogging about South Dakota!  Did you know South Dakota is a home to Mount Rushmore.  The capital Pierre is home to 12,000 people.  South Dakota is 75,956 miles wide. This is a picture of the falls in Sioux Falls, the largest city is South Dakota, with at least 100,000 people.            ->
The population is 699,999 people.   The statehood is November 2, 1889 as the 40th  state admitted.  The principal rivers are the James River and the Missouri River.  The highest point in South Dakota is Harney Peak (7,242 feet).
The motto is "Under God The People Rule".  The state song is "Hail!  South Dakota".  The famous people who lived in South Dakota are Sitting Bull, Pierre Chouteau Jr. and Crazy Horse. The state flower is the Pasque Flower.  The state bird is the Ring Necked Pheasant. ->
The Black Hills Spruce is the state tree.  My two favorite places to visit are The Black Hills and Dakota Dunes. The borders are Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska.  I love South Dakota!  Even Lewis and Clark visited!  Here is the stuff I haven't told you!
